Audition Information
Auditions for the Illini Drumline are held in the Spring for the following Fall Semester. All students enrolled at either Parkland or the University of Illinois during the following Fall Semester are eligible to audition. Current members of the Illini Drumline are required to re-audition.
The audition process consists of several Saturday camps throughout the spring. Camps last all day on Saturdays and time is spent learning and refining skills. Students are allowed to audition for more than one instrument. Each week a tech is available to make a suggestion about continuing on a particular instrument. Final cuts will be made during one of the last camps and will be announced at the first camp.
2010 Auditions dates will be March 13, April 10 and April 24.
Auditions will last all day, starting at 9am and ending at 5pm. Auditions will be held at the Harding Band Building at the corner of Sixth St. and Gregory Dr. in Champaign, IL. Prospective members will have a lunch break and most participants walk to Green St. where there are lots of places to eat. Any questions can be directed to publicrelations@uidrumline.com
Please come prepared to the audition camps and ready to learn. It is in your best interests to listen and learn from the instructors.
